Tenerife is much more than a touristy island with a life of clubbing. Once you step beyond the tourist spots you discover an island of extraordinary beauty and diversity, with remote mountain-ridge villages, cultured port settlements and charming ancient towns.
We made our first stop in the South, at Puerto Deportivo de Las Galletas, a typical Canarian small village and had a breathtaking hike at the volcanic Parque Nacional del Teide.
Following this, after a nice close-hauled daily sail we reached Santa Cruz. Ice creams and Capuccinos felt like a great treat after such a long time! We ended the day in a very classy way, enjoying a concert at the opera house...
