This is Aristides, Legato’s owner and captain. A few words about me:

I was born in February '64, yet it took me 52 years to get into the sailing world. Since then I have grabbed every opportunity to catch up on lost time, continuously learning from captains and sailors who are far more experienced than I will ever be. By now I have sailed several thousands of miles in all weather conditions, mostly in the Aegean and Ionian seas and some in the Atlantic ocean, including several night voyages, single handed trips, and many regattas.

In my non-sailing life, I am the founder and current managing director of SYSTEMIC RM, a fintech company developping software systems for investment management and financial risk management. I am also an amateur sax player.

I am married and have two young children, all of which wish I would spend less time sailing and more at home/ office :)
